ICP's new album comes out in September. I know it's too early to judge, but looking back at some of their latest releases, I gotta say this:

If Bang! Pow! Boom! turns out like Violent J says it will, with the whole Dark Carnival theme returning, then I think this record will be a comeback, probably at level with Shangri-la. If it doesen't, and it just turns out to be a marketing ploy, then this album will be another dud, like The Tempest turned out to be (was a flop in comparison to their earlier albums).

So yeah, that's my opinion: Bang! Pow! Boom! will either be ICP's comeback album, or an even bigger flop than The Tempest.

Whatever your opinion is, tell it.

The Tempest wasn't great, but it wasn't awful either. I have high hopes for this. I hope it has a sound like The Dirt Ball, The Amazing Maze, and Jacabs Word.

I like how ICP is fronting like The Tempest didn't happen and was just an EP.

Having Mike produce an album is totally different than him producing it with them like COC-AJB. I'm hyped to hear it already.

and I have low expectations for this album. The Tempest was barely acceptable. A song about a haunted sound system? About how he's becoming huge (which is happening IRL, J weighs the same as a minivan now), a song about Mexico City. Seriously. The idea well ran dry for that album.
